Love Letters to Space

Love Letters to Space

"You don't have to be GREAT to start, but you have to START to be great."

-Zig Ziglar

  • I believe there are moments where life wants us to take it to the next level.

  • I believe that if you want something you've never had, then you've got to do something you've never done.

  • I believe there is a space for everyone to succeed and prosper.

  • I believe in following your heart, mixed with a little bit of Cinderella faith and fun.

  • I believe in creating what you wished existed while celebrating what already does.

  • I believe that wellness is for everyone and comes in different forms.

That is why this website was created: to bring all that I believe into one location, with information that I hope can be of service to others. I am deeply passionate about the food service and hospitality industries, and have committed to a lifelong journey of learning and enjoying the ride. My first blog, The Lessons are in the Pot, was started 5 years ago. I was encouraged by my friends and family to take the lessons I learned from my culinary experiences and write about them. One main source of encouragement and inspiration was from my sister. Aside from eating, my blog was her favorite part of Food Lovers Unite. She passed away, and there's a hint of sadness whenever I go to the old site. One of the last things she told me was, "Coolest thing I've seen today: love letters being sent to space." So in the spirit of wellness and taking things to the next level, I have transitioned here. We will continue with the lessons and inspirational portion, but will add more of what people have been asking for: Food, Faith and Fun!

So WELCOME FOOD LOVERS, I look forward to this chapter. I hope you find something that tickles your tastebuds or makes you want to share it with someone you know. One of the greatest questions I have ever been asked was, "What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?" I extend that question to you, and part by saying that I would write culinary letters to space. Surely the information will land in the proper places.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be wealthy.

May you be whole.

May you be healed.

Be Well,

The Smitten Chef
